Meet the Maker - Zom8ie Inventions

One of the most rewarding aspects of having our shop in Sassafras is that we have been able to support and showcase some of the great local talent that exists here in Melbourne.  One of our greatest finds has been the creations produced by the dynamic duo at Zom8ie. 

Born in 1989, Zom8ie is the brainchild of Patrick O'Neill and Donna Kirkwood.  With backgrounds in horology and design their elegantly refined skills come together to create beautiful one of a kind pieces.   Each invention is a combination of eight found elements from the past resurrected into a unique item that can be utilized in the present.  They breathe new life into industrial objects, often giving them a completely new function to that which they were orignially designed for.
